Finding Joy Friday {Life's Ponderings}

Hello, my dear readers! How sorry I am that I did not take a stroll with you last evening. I am so overwhelmed by the amount of pictures I have taken in "my" {Sacramento} rose garden, but I promise I will post them soon. 

During my Garden Party, Fridays are the days of the week that are set aside to give an insight into my normal, daily life and ponderings. There is a sense of security when one ponders their normal, every-day life routine no matter how busy it may be. I think that when one stops to write and think about their everyday life, then we will be more thankful for the simple pleasures that we think of as normal. At the end of each post, I will have a button and a link up, if you would like to join me during these four weeks of "Finding Joy" in the little things. 

You may post things about your daily life and things that you are whole-heartedly thankful for. Oh, and be sure to add a lot of pictures whether they be from the internet or taken by you yourself. 

Over these past few days, I have been pondering about life. I think at least once, one probably stops to think about it sooner or later. ;) I was thinking about how everybody is so busy, how we all go about our lives in our own "little worlds", complaining to each other how busy we really are and how stressed we are becoming talking, planning, and thinking about it. 

Then, just last night, it truly struck me. 

When I am going about these "busy" weeks, I am so stressed that I cannot live and enjoy the life that the Lord gave me. Soon thereafter, a week - a month perhaps - may pass, and the time has slipped by that I cannot buy back. Over fourteen years have passed since I was born and adopted, and Mama to-day remarked, how fast the time has gone by. Now that my life has been expanding and new opportunities are arising, what will happen when I am truly in control of my life? 

There is a pressure {among many} specifically involving the newer generations of this world about growing up. I feel and stand for very VERY strongly about rushing a girl's future. Let them have fun, care-free days full of sunshine and giggles and smiles and curiosity. Soon in the future, they will have burdens and trials they face with only memories to comfort them.

The days of his youth You have shortened...~Psalms 89:45 

 So many young ladies to-day are stressing and fretting about the future. What they will act or be like, what relationships they will have {particularly concerning that of a male character in their life} the make-up and styles they wear, the money the make, or the career they will have.   

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. ~Matthew 6:19~21

I just want to mainly focus on Christ and live...

Day by Day

The future is unknown to us {all but to God}, and no one can hide that fact. It can either be exciting or terrifying, but let us not worry or fret over it nor try to rush the future to come upon us too quickly. Things of this world do not matter, and God has a perfect plan for each of our lives. He wants the best for us.

Why cannot we live right now, to-day, this hour, this moment? I just recently watched a movie where an angel said to this man, "It's simple and yet...hard."

I love this quote that I obtained here. 

Yesterday's history,

To-morrow's mystery,

To-day's a gift, that's why they call it the Present. 

Let us then accept God's present, the present life. :) 

Seize it. 

Time can pass by quickly, but you can savor it. Savor every moment of being alive, well, happy, content, in sheer bliss. Not everyday will we be able to call ourself a happy-go-lucky {fill in the blank} fourteen years of age, young lady. This I write including me.
