Dearest Readers~
To-morrow, I am going to have three teeth extracted, a "minor" ;) surgery, and for the past two weeks I have been worrying about to-morrow, for they will be giving me general aesthetics {where they put you "asleep"*wink*}. I have been scared and fretting about it over the past few weeks, although this is my second time doing this surgery...{IT'S STILL NERVE RACKING!!!:)}But right now, I'm at....
Peace
It's like Thursday is weeks away from now; it's like something is telling me it will all be alright {and I know it will:)}.
I think the Lord laid it on my heart, to put together a little post to encourage the other ladies who are going through difficult times right now, far worst than I. I just wanted to encourage the young ladies out there, who are experiencing hard times, trials, sorrows, deeper pains that cannot be comprehended, that the Lord our wonderful, loving Savior is by your side, waiting for you to pour out your heart to Him.
Be not dismayed whate'er betide,
God will take care of you;
Beneath His wings of love abide,
GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU!
The Bible says that He knows your needs, before you yourself know, for He is an Almighty God.
As I was doing my daily devotions this morn{special thanks for Johanna for keeping me on track;)}, I was in Matthew chapter six, and these verses really stood out to me:
"Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
"So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin;
and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
"Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'
For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things.
God is by your side, waiting for you to come to Him. He always has outstretched arms for you. You need not worry {although, this is very easy to do} about life, your troubles, for GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU.
{My favorite version of God Will Take Care of You; makes me laugh everytime:)}
Hope you ladies are having a peaceful evening filled with the Lord's blessings.
Love always from your Sister in Christ,
~Grace~
P.S. I would appreciate it if you keep me in your prayers, though, for to-morrow's surgery. The only good thing about this is {from my view point}, I will be feasting on smoothies, ice cream {pomegranate, blueberry from TJ's:P}, pudding, yogurt, and won't have to touch my studies to-morrow! Then again, I will be out of my mind, though it won't be the first time... ;P
I hope everything goes well for you! I really liked this post, thanks dear friend!
ReplyDeleteThank you SO much for this uplifting post dear friend.... you don't know what a blessing it was to me.... Lately, I have needed to feel His peace. As you know, I just found that my Aunt has stage three culin cancer...the same cancer that my other dear Aunt died of....
ReplyDeleteIt can be so hard to lay our troubles at HIS feet, and remember the HE is in control.... but once we do it, we finally find that peace which surpasseth all understanding.
Thank you for the reminder to lay my life once again into His hands!
I sure will be praying for you tomorrow. I know what it's like to have teeth pulled, it's no fun,but the Lord will be right there with you. Thank you for this post it's been very uplifting for me. Blessings to you and prayers. Tonya.
ReplyDeleteI will remember you in my prayers.

What a wonderful post! thank you for that. And good luck with the teeth stuff ... yuck. But you've got a great attitude!
ReplyDeleteI had to have 5 teeth extracted at one point (4 wisdom teeth and a regular tooth) and I was soooo nervous too. When I sat in the chair and the doctor was coming in I looked at the wall and there was a picture of a surgeon and Jesus was standing behind him with one hand on the surgeon's shoulder and one hand on the surgeon's hand guiding it where it needed to go. This was so comforting and this post reminded me of that picture. God has everything under control and just know that Jesus will be there guiding the hand of the docor :) Blessings to you!
ReplyDeleteAwww, thank you SO much, ladies!!! *sniff, sniff* What an encouragement you are! This is my...fourth time having a teeth extraction, and my second time with general aesthetics. =P Yeah, it's no, fun, and I'm a little more nervous right now, since we are leaving in fifteen min. The surgery is at 9:45, and I will let you know how it goes {if I can even type;)}
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you all, fair maidens!
~Grace~
Thank-you for this post, Grace! I also sent your letter today. I pray everything goes very well! I've had a colonscopy before; and it's not fun. They basically stuck a camera up my rear end {=P} and then I was asleep. I did say lots of funny things though! *laughs*
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great day. :)
