Seizing the Summer

Hello, my dearest readers~

Summer is around the corner...well, perhaps, for some of you back in the North East, Spring has not even made her arrival, therefore; this post might bring pain to your heart. :)
Here in California, the seasons visit us very quickly, spring {with the exception of this past week} has turned into summer's 80 degree, balmy weather. I usually finish school at the end of May, and summer relaxation vacation begins!

While I was writing an e-mail to a friend, I was describing my busy summer vacation schedule already planned out. If you have not already noticed this, I am a pretty big planner which can be a good thing, but can also be a bad thing. ;) When a usual summer starts, it seems like three full months of pure freedom will last forever, until July's ending comes around. I look back at the time and ask myself, "What have I accomplished?"

Now, I know, each summer we make resolutions saying, "Oh, but this summer will be different," and we start strong, but our determination fades. This summer I really do hope and pray will be different. Perhaps, if I make an ever-increasing list for my summer plans:

Write my Novel{s}

Cook a Whole Meal with just the produce from the Garden
