a breath of fresh air.

>> spring has made her arrival at last. new life springs from their dark earthen beds with pride. day after day bits of greenery are discovered. the wind combs her fingers through giggling lilac clusters. winter's cold cage is but a faraway memory. the garden beckons for me to come near. and I must come away and listen.

dear reader, I have decided upon taking a bit of a break.
I have become restless as a trapped bird, distracted by this little screen I have come to not being able to "live without." I feel as though I need to renew my inspiration by taking more note of the simple pleasures of life. sipping tea {iced or hot}. penning my heart's ponderings. reading books. writing letters. dreaming of the summertime months. photographing life. drinking in a breath of fresh air.

Photobucket
and so, dear friends, I bid you fare well only but for a time. I do hope, though, this shall not discourage you from leaving a sweet note {one perhaps, telling me what you would like to see here and suggestions to a new garden design}, now and then, and visit to linger amongst the blooming lilac bushes!

love always,
the girl in the garden.

I also have been considering a break, though a longer one. The desire to blog has left me and it's feeling like a burden at the moment.

  9. Grace, these are so pretty! You are such a talented photographer. I'll miss your posts, but I'm taking my own blogging break over the next few weeks, so I'll survive :) I think that definitely makes us blogger twins.

  13. My dear goose,

I love all of your posts but as you've asked... I think it would be nice to see a day in your life. What you've been up to, recent projects, things you love on a day to day basis. Life in general!

I know what you're going through... I've actually been thinking about closing my blog down. Yes. I am considering it. I shan't give the reasons here but just know I do feel for ya.

    Have a lovely break, dearest!
