For the craft project catagory, I am entering a tutorial of handmade Jane Austen inspired cards! I had seen these at the bookstore in a sweet box, and I thought I should make those one day! Well, the day has come, and what better time to share them with you during this event!!!
Thanks to Samantha from Simple Delights, through her site, I found this website called Solitary-Elegance where there are watercolours from the Jane Austen novels! Here's what you need:
A paper cutter, scissors, white cardstock, glue, pictures (or art) from Solitary Elegance or Eras of Elegance, ribbon, stickers, anything to decorate your cards.
Print them on cardstock, and cut them out by using the paper trimmer or scissors. Cut the cardstock about halfway (make one side larger than the other to fit you picture)
Fold the cut cardstock in half and measure it with your clipping.
Glue the clipping to your piece of cardstock... Now here comes the fun part: put stickers or ribbons around your card, to make it really pretty! You can also glue your picture to cardmaking paper, but I wanted the card to have a simplier effect. Write a sweet message inside or a Jane Austen saying!
