disneyland adventurists // part i

Photobucket
THE DAY  WAS PERFECT // from the timing of entering the lines to the warm weather --- everything seemed to be in our favor. in the morning, I had to keep pinching myself so as to be assured that both of my two best friends were here at the most magical place on earth. with me. and yes, I was one very blessed girl to be celebrating her sweet 16 with the twosome she holds very dear to her heart...

the day started with "formal" introductions which slipped into three friends feeling like they've known each other for ages. the weather was diffused with some kind of magic, and we began to traverse the park from one land to the next. we hopped aboard the Mark Twain riverboat which glided lazily through the rippling waters around an island rumored to nestle pirate secrets. on the marred deck, we sipped on cherry lemonade purchased from our favorite stand in new orlean's square that tinted our lips rouge. we leaned over the white-washed railings chatting over whatever nonsense and snapped photographs of the mirrors reflecting silly poses, while the boat sailed "just around the river bend"....

next stop :: join us for a {mad} tea party in fantasy land.

SO much more to come. so stay tuned. ;)

with much love,
the girl far away from her little plot of earth.

p.s. wishing you were somehow here, darling. ;)

|| the wind swept her onyx tresses aside as she skipped down the lane, her heart filled with all merriment as though her shoulders carried naught a care in the world - her little world. her basket swung half as gaily as the little sprite tripped down the gentle incline. her chap hands nestled a bright pink fruit, cradling the jewel gently as she began to twist it off the mother tree. her eyes glimmered with ecstasy as they focused on the bright scarlet gem enclosed within her palm - cracking the firm skin, there enclosed were a myriad of deliciously tart clusters. and in that moment the day was a happy day. it was a autumn's day. it was a pomegranate day. ||

happy tuesday, darlings!
