Happening in my State Capital

Dear Readers,

Well, I am afraid that I come to you with empty hands (more like with no pictures of the capital building). Tommorow I will, for I will be attending to the National Day of Prayer with my family at the Capital Building after my brother-in-law's memorial.
Thank you so much, readers, for all of your prayers for safety for my family and I. Please keep my sister in your prayers still too. Your prayers are much appreciated, and it is always a comfort to know that I have blogging sisters!
Well, last post was my 50th post, and today I received my 50th follower!!! Unfortunately, I do not have a giveaway, but am planning one (as I promised) and am going to set up a poll to see what ya'll would like. Though, any suggestions would be nice too!
I am very fatigued from the day's events. Here's what we did:
I got up at 6:00 A.M. (well, basically. I think I really got up at 6:30)
We traveled five hours to Sacramento. (But we had to stop at a Starbucks to get a Chai Latte':)
Ate lunch at Whole Foods around noon.
When we arrived at the capital, we checked into the hotel and started to walk around.
We went shopping, and I found a lovely denim skirt at Macy's; I had been looking for one for awhile (Do not get me started on skirts and dresses! All I can say is THESE STYLES THESE DAY!!!! (short skirts and dresses all sleevless, UGH!!!)
We ate dinner at one of my favourite restaurants called P. F. Changs. It is a yummy Chinese food restaurant with great, frest food! Oh, you must try it if you have one around you.
And now, I am here, typing away on my trusty (well, most of the time) computer.
Well, that is my day's account, and I will be posting some pics soon!
Hope you are having a lovely day!
Your Sister in Christ,

  3. Fun! We went to Washington D.C. in February and it was cool! (Well, but, almost everything was closed because there was just a HUGE snowfall. I think like 57 in.!)

I love Chinese! I don't care either for all that stuff these days...not that I really care that much about how I look anyways.

The giveaway sounds awesome! Can't wait for it or your story! The contest ends on Saturday so hurry!

  4. Hi Grace! Thanks for your sweet comments (as always=)! I'm so glad you all had a safe trip thus far, & I pray the rest of it goes happily, too. It's cool that you all are going to get to go to the National Day of Prayer events at your capitol (excited to see pics). I'm especially praying for your sister, too. Yes, I so agree about clothes - many are horrid!
Now to the interview...well, I think it went pretty well, but you never know (at least I never know). They had a lot of people to interview. So, I might know by Fri. or Mon. (hopefully). It's so hard to not know what God has in store - I wish I could see the whole picture, instead of this little mysterious bit.
Blessings to you fav writing, creative, smart, all around great sis!
    Love From Your Sis,

P.S.: Thanks SO much for your prayers! They mean a lot to me! =)

  5. Hey sweetie,
I will keep your sister in my prayers. She is going through an incredibly difficult trial, and it may take the kindness and compassion from others just to get through the days.
    changing subjects here...
I will be going through my closet as I have gained some weight over the last few years. I am not an extra small anymore, but I bet you are! Would you like me to save any clothes for you and your mom to go through and see if they are to your liking? it's OK if you don't, I won't be offended :o)
    love,
    Suzy
