that perfect dress photoshoot // eshakti dress review

I didn't think I would ever find, "the perfect dress." there were certainly dresses I admired in my closet, but none of them quite fit the ideal image of perfection. when Jennifer from eSkakti enquired if I would be interested in reviewing one of their products, I was quite thrilled by the prospect and immediately said, "yes!" without any further persuading.

it was most certainly difficult choosing an outfit from the wide assortment of beautiful clothing, but my heart was set upon one of their darling dresses. each dress {made in India} is an unique style with a touch of vintage and not only can the sleeves, length, and neckline be customized to the customer's particular taste but also the sizing is designed to match you with the dress that fits absolutely perfectly. one of the highlights of choosing my dress from eShakti was the neckline and length could be customized exactly to my taste and I was given the opportunity to make the dress a more modest style - something that is incredibly difficult to find in to-day's fashion lines.

for a custom sample made to order, the shipping was incredibly fast. the dress came in a well-packaged parcel within the matter of only a few days, and I must admit, there was much squealing of excitement on my part when I discovered the parcel on my doorstep. my hands, quivered as I lifted the flap, and there it was. tucked within the box, was a brightly red colored dress, with a rosette lining the neckline, and sweet cap-sleeves.

my heart, beat nervously as I slipped the smooth cotton over my head. would it be too tight? I believe I ordered knee-length - will it be too short? would the sleeves fit? would it be too big?
the folds rustled softly.
 my breath caught as I looked at my reflection in the mirror. not too low. not too short. not too big under the arms. oh, and did I mention it had pockets???!!!!
 the perfect dress!!! and it couldn't have been done without the brilliant work of eShakti.

overall, I highly suggest purchasing from eShakti. they not only provide good quality but fast shipping, and I guarantee they will make you the perfect dress.

with camera in hand, my friends and I made our way to what we {in our church circles} call, "The Ranch," a place I heard much about and was excited to finally see for myself. we climbed a hill completely off the path, and watched the sun slowly sink under the horizon. when the sun disappeared, we returned to the little cabin between the trees and laid on our backs in the back of a truck to watch the stars falling across the midnight sky.

'twas a beautiful beginning to a magical summer.

// i like pretty script and beautiful words {part i} //

if pictures are said to tell a thousand words, what are the power of words? sometimes it's those beautifully exquisite words {the ones you have to look up in the dictionary to understand the meaning} that paints you a detailed picture - but I find that the simplest of words are the ones that are etched onto your heart forevermore.

forgive and forget but remember all the same.

words. just a scramble of letters, right? a few scribbles on a blank page. a breath of air formed by the lips. nothing more, nothing less. but oh, how much joy they can bring, and how much destruction all the same...
